Corporate Volunteering

Corporate volunteering is an activity promoted and facilitated by GRUPEDSAC through which employees of a company have the opportunity to participate as a volunteer in projects of environmental and social benefit.

Every day another business is interested in and promotes this activity as part of its corporate-environmental responsibility, and it has become a fundamental tool in involving employees in the mission of the business.
It encourages employee integration, reinforcing and improving their corporate image.

If a business is socially and ecologically responsible, surely our program of CORPORATE VOLUNTEERING will be of interest, consisting of:

• Employees visit our centre of training and demonstration of sustainable solutions for the land, poverty and environmental deterioration at CEDER, where during approximately 2 hours they are guided through a tour that raises their awareness, informs them and greatly motivates them to help others, instilling in them an ecological conscience so that they carry their positive attitudes and actions through to their work and homes.

• In the same way, they carry out exercises together and are organized to work directly with families in the rural community around CEDER in Huixquilucan or ITT in Oaxaca, helping to build an ecological dwelling, cisterns to collect rainwater, wood-efficient stoves, bio-intensive orchards and solar dehydrators for fruits to name but a few.

• They can also enjoy hiking or mountain biking in the coniferous forests surrounding CEDER, Piedra Grande.

• Lodgings and meals are included, as well as the possibility of offering workshops exploring different appropriate technologies under the themes of water, food, housing and energy.

• The Corporate Volunteering program can be over a single day, a weekend or longer if it is requested.

• It is about easy, sure, simple activities that are learnt and practiced throughout one day. For this GRUPEDSAC relies on a team of professionals and experts in environmental education to supervise and assess the practicals for the development of the activities.
